Lab 4, Saving Partitions with Drive Image.

Lab Procedure:

Purpose: Computer companies and departments find it increasingly important to back up the hard drive with the operating system and associated hardware drivers, in a place where the user can not get to it.  One of the ways to do this is with software like Drive Image, which creates an image of the hard drive with all its parts.  The image is put in a separate partition from the master.  In case of disaster the original partition is removed and the image replaces it.

Procedure: 

A.  Set up a partition with a drive letter E on your PC large enough to hold all the data on the C drive.  See Partition Magic and FDISK labs as to the procedure.  Right your detailed procedure below:

B. Use the floppy disk copy of Drive Image to boot your PC.

Create a bundled partition.  Put it on the E Drive.  Use low compression.
