Homework/In Class Assignment for Lab 8

You must do Lab 8 and have the results for this homework to be completed correctly.

1. Using the GHHS2 database, do the exercises as noted in the assignment, in LAB 8, including all the replacements!

2. Then do the following:

A. Using the tblStudent Registrations, use the right click filter for  the last name of:  “B*”

B. Create a report with only fields of first and last name and Email, with a custom Report header  with

Last Name B* plus your name and today’s date at the top of the report. E.G.

LAST NAME B* by Mary Jane Doe, February 4, 2001 

C. Print the report with the above filter in place! (Note saving this report saves the table with the filter in place, if the report was created when the filter was on).

D. Next remove that filter and apply a filter by form to the same table, and set the filter for single parents for male students only. 

E. While this filter is in place Create a new report with ID, student number, LastName, Gender, First Name.  Title it:

RptSingleParentMaleStudents+ Your Name.  Make sure this is the report header!

F. Print this report out with your filter in place.

3. What happens to the report if you remove the filter, close the report, and then open the report again?  Is the filter still in place?

4. Hand both reports and your answer to question 3 above in.
