Philosophy-Authority

"When I first began working on The Ark, I was against the teacher as an authority figure.  I soon realized that there has to be authuority—because people want it and to ease communication flow.

…What we must do if we are to keep this country great is to make the authority responsive to the needs of the people they serve and to develop the bond of love between the people and the leaders….

. . To do that future leaders must understand many different types of people and their customs and needs.   That is why I believe the best school is one which has all types of people in it, Catholic, Buddhist, Black, etc. .

One of the best means of education is simply to put different types of people in contact with each other.  This is one reason The Ark is a good school."
